Ryker's Story...
Howdy, from Ryker!
Ryker is a 12 week old black and red German Shepherd (maybe mix?) Puppy from North Carolina.
So you are probably wondering how this cute puppy ended up in rescue? Ryker, his 3 siblings (Ray, Ruger & Riva) and mother (Dena) were left behind under a house when their owner moved and didn't take them. They had a nice neighbor feed them for awhile, but they eventually made it to an animal shelter, after they were picked up by animal control.
Ryker is one of the lucky ones and got out of the shelter and is now safe.

Ryker is a funny boy and loves to run around and pretend like he is one of the big dogs! He enjoys attention from people, especially belly rubs. He likes to sit and cuddle in everyones lap as well. Ryker thinks that he is the top of the world and loves to be in the center of all the activity, he has a voice too and lets you know what he thinks!
Ryker is good with others dogs as well as cats.
He loves to play tug-o-war with his toys, or anything he can get into his mouth. He likes to carry things too.
Being a typical puppy, Ryker does like to chew, whether its on a bone or your shoe! He is learning though.
Ryker will make a great addition to a home that is looking for a fun, happy, playful puppy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryker, a Rochester/Buffalo German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
