My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chopper was surrendered with Dolly because their owners had to move and could not take them along. In June of 2010, Chopper was rescued by his former owners, so they knew little of his background. After have a dental appointment with the vet, they learned that he is missing his back molars, which prevents him from eating hay. He does well with green forage and mash twice a day. He will require a home that can provide him with hay pellets and senior feed.

According to his previous owners, even in his mid-twenties he is still sound to ride. However he needs an experienced rider because he is fast under saddle and he cannot be ridden with a bit. He is not known to buck or rear.

He is easy to catch and and lead, but has some head shyness. He interacts well with mares, geldings, and small animals. He stands well for vet, farrier and grooming. He loads well, and rides well in a trailer.
