Ava's Story...
I am a honest little gal, I say what I’m feeling ya know. And right now, I’m feeling nervous, a little scared, out of my element. I’m a sweet and affectionate companion dog…without a companion, without a person to love, without a lap to sit on…and I am not happy about it. I’d love to find someone to love, someone patient and gentle who will give me to time to warm up and feel secure again. I have been working really hard on my confidence, you can win me over pretty quickly with a tasty treat and I’ll be licking your hand in no time. I am smart and gentle and full of joy, oh I just can't wait to be a part of a family again, just as long as all members are old enough to treat me with respect and patience. Are you waiting to meet the love of your life? Me too! 3 years old-18lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ava, a Portland Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Portland, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
