Mr. Grumpy's Story...
Disposition: Independent, active

Mr. Grumpy is a flame point Siamese kitten who enjoys running around and climbing. He also loves the company of his mommy and his siblings.

This little boy had a horrible start in life. Probably born just before being taken to the city shelter, he and his siblings were left alone, encrusted in debris on their faces and over their eyes. They were about to be euthanized so the staff did nothing to make them comfortable. It was this neglect that changed his life and left him a special needs kitty. Mr. Grumpy suffers from entropion eyelids of the upper eyelid on each eye. His eyes often become crusty and need to be wiped clean. Ivan is accustomed to having his eyes cleaned. His foster mommy has tended to him ever since he was a tiny baby. He gets his name from how he looks when he stares at you from under those eyelids!

Another rescue group discovered this little family in a city shelter and asked if we could take them in. The mommy is a beautiful flame point Siamese who truly adores her babies. It would be wonderful if Mr. Grumpy could be adopted with his mommy or one of his siblings.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Grumpy, a The Colony Siamese kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Siamese kitten from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
