Gus's Story...
Gus is a great guy who came to us from Indianapolis. He is young, about 2 years old and is totally blind due to what the ophthalmologist believes was being shot with a bee bee gun. He has had one eye removed and can't see out of the other one. He has a great temperament, very laid back and friendly. He loves lots of attention and will make a great companion for someone who has the time for him. He gets along with everyone and everything, but does demand attention and will nose in on other dogs when they are spending time with their person. Gus would be great as an only dog, elliminating that competition that he has for attention. He acts like he can see, he gets around so well and is playful. We are currently looking for either an adopter, foster to adopt or a new foster for Gus. We are not asking an adoption donation for Gus, we just want him in a good home and his current foster's situation is changed and we need to find a new place for him soon. Please email us if you have questions about Gus.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gus, a Tacoma Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Tacoma, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Tacoma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tacoma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tacoma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tacoma paves the way for another one to be saved.
