Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please welcome Taffy, she came into the Rescue on November 4th. Taffy is a smaller, lemon and white basset that turned 4 years old on October 8th. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots.
Taffy is a very sweet basset girl and loves to be loved on. She follows her foster mommy from room to room waiting for attention. She is completely potty trained and will do okay while her family is away. She gets along well with her four-legged foster siblings, but is very bossy and gets cranky when they don't do as she wants. Don't get her wrong she loves to play, but she likes to be the boss, so Taffy would probably be best as just one of two or maybe even an only dog with a play date an occasionally play date or trip to the dog park. She shares her food and toys well and takes treats like a lady. She is also watching her figure and likes to have veggies with her dinner. She enjoys an evening stroll and if she hears the car keys rattling, she will race you to the door, she absolutely loves to go bye, bye. Taffy has also developed her basset voice and is not shy in telling you when she wants something or doesn't like something.
Taffy does have a couple issues that her adoptive family must understand. Taffy was relinquished to the Rescue because she does not do well with younger children, therefore she will need to go to a family with older children or no children. Also at first she can be kind of timid. She warms up very quickly to women, but it does take a little longer with men. However once she accepts you, she will be your faithful and loving friend.
Taffy is looking for a very special forever home that will love her always, so if that is you, please fill out an application and claim your basset love.
