Pudgy's Story...
Hi my name is Pudgy, I am a very small tri-colored basset. A little over weight but we won't go there. I am 5yrs old and very sweet, I have no bad manners and house trained. I had to come and live with my foster family because my other family had a German Shepherd that was hurting me. I get on very well with other dogs and I don't want to live in a house that has a bully. I like to play and snuggle and have sleep time next to my foster mom.

I don't like car rides because I was in a car accident with my other family. I lay in the back and shake but I don't cry. Maybe I will get better. I need a family that is going to love me and look after me. Are you that one? PS: I come with my own Christmas stocking. Pudgy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pudgy, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
