My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Babs is a lovely Terrier mix that has blonde hair and big brown eyes. Her foster family describe her as being the "perfect pet". She loves attention and is always up for a good belly rub. She would be a great family pet or as a single's companion. Babs is approximately 2 years old and weighs approximately 20 lbs.

Babs loves to snuggle on the couch with you and she also enjoys a good tummy rub. She also loves to run around the back yard putting on a show, tossing her stuffed toy into the air. She eagerly waits at the door when it is time for her walk and walks well on leash. Babs does well with most things, she travels well in the car, she is fully house and crate trained, she eats well, is very affectionate and loving and enjoys people of all ages. She is jealous of other dogs in the home and would probably be best as an only dog. She is fine with other dogs outside the home.

Babs is fine with adults and older children but we have not tested her around really young children. She is outgoing and is never shy when meeting strangers. Her crate is left open and she often retreats to it for a little R and R. She is very well behaved in the home and is a quiet dog. She never barks in the house. She either curls up on the couch or goes and settles in her crate when you leave the home. She loves to play with toys and as mentioned above will run around the backyard tossing a toy into the air, amusing herself.

Her foster mom describes Babs activity level as moderate as she does like to run around but it is usually short lived. She loves to be brushed and will lie quietly stretched for as long as you will keep brushing her. She does shed. She is a good eater and doesn't eat all her food in one sitting preferring to graze during throughout the day.

Babs likes to wait for table scraps and will tuck her head under your arm to see what you are eating. This is about her only fault and otherwise is a treat to have around. She seems to have no bad habits although she would benefit from some basic obedience training.

Babs is a wonderful companion. Her only real issue is that she could use more socializing with other dogs in the home. She would be an excellent pet and her foster family believe that with some additional socializing she would come to accept other dogs in the home.

If you think Babs would be a good choice for your family, please go to our website at uglymutts.com and submit an application for consideration.
