My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a 6-year-old neutered male Shepherd/Pointer mix. I weigh about 90 pounds. My previous owner was a homeless man & I ended up at the pound when he got arrested. I spent 3 long months at the shelter waiting for him to come back for me, but sadly he never did. Lucky for me, the friendly folks at CageFree found me just before my time was up. I'm a big handsome guy who always enjoys a good game of fetch. I'm fun-loving & outgoing with people & I'm good with kids, too. I'm easy going & I get along superbly with other dogs. I've completed a month-long basic obedience course, so now I'm a master of all my basic commands. I'd love nothing more than to find a family to call my own! So please contact CageFree if you're interested in me.
Comments from Hunter's foster: Hunter is an amazingly gentle dog who likes everyone, small & large, dog or human. He really seems to love having a person to be next to. When asked to sit with a touch to the rear he will sit & then a lay down. He is okay on the leash & after some strong sniffing & peeing on trees, he can be a good walker but he still needs some work. He likes to play & run at the park & sometimes joins in a group run with other dogs. He comes when I call him & runs over but comes in gently on arrival. He doesn't seem to be food aggressive or weird with toys & has not been fazed by my two year old running around or riding his bike. He is the most non-reactive dog I've ever been around. He doesn't bark or react to loud noises. He woofed softly when he wanted me to play ball & that is the only bark I have heard. He loves to go places in the car & will make a great companion!
