Simon's Story...
UPDATE SEPT 12 - Simon entered foster care this weekend! He seems very overwhelmed right now, but is starting to be more comfortable in his foster home. His foster family have expressed interest in adopting him, so we are holding off on accepting other applications at this time to give them a chance to see if he is the right dog.
SIMON - a one year old male husky mix. He has green eyes and is so loving and sweet. Totally loves other dogs. He is housebroken. This sweet boy needs a place with lots of fenced land or someone who will run him. Huskies are known Houdinis and will run for miles if allowed. They typically have high prey drive - so no cats or small animals as housemates! More info to come. Do you have a place for him in your home? NOT IN FOSTER CARE - NEED FOSTER/ADOPTIVE HOME IN ORDER TO PULL INTO RESCUE.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Guelph Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Guelph, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Guelph.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Guelph already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Guelph breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Guelph paves the way for another one to be saved.
