Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Angel has been with us for 22 months (since June 28, 2011!!!) He is not good with co-existing with other dogs (which is obviously a HUGE problem for us) so he is not a candidate for a sanctuary dog. Angel does not go after members of the "pack" but cannot be a sanctuary dog here with us as he manages to bite every single new dog regardless of being separated or supervised. Angel has lots of energy to play and needs a big yard where he can play ball all day. Inside the house he is mellow, but he is not good with cats and will bite unsuspecting dogs in his vicinity. Please, if you have Dachshund experience, an adult home without cats, with no other dogs (or have one or two and are willing to let pack dynamic develop), and room to play ball contact us about Angel. He has no adoption fee but MUST go to the right home. Angel is now 9 years old and was neutered and had a dental when he came to us in June 2011 when his parents split up and had to move. All dogs available for adoption live in our home in Killingworth, Connecticut until they find their forever homes. When inquiring about a dog please let us know where you are located (local adoptions only, within 3 hours of Killingworth), if you have had previous Dachshund experience, if you have a fenced in yard, about your work hours, about your family - including pets, if you or anyone in your household smoke, and what you are looking for in your adopted dog.
