Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"PYWACKET"
Medium Sulfur Crested Cockatoo
fostered by Karen A. of Gibsonton, FL
Pywacket is a beautiful Sulfur Crested Cockatoo who is approximately 3 years old. "Py" is a great bird, he will go to just about anyone with ease (he does not seem to have a preference for men or women), doesn't vocalize excessively (although for cockatoos it is normal to vocalize VERY loudly a couple of times a day for up to 15 minutes) and is in great feather condition and health. He loves to take showers and never stops moving (he loves to dance!). He can speak and says "Hello" and "Pywacket" and a few other things we can't quite make out, he also laughs. He loves to chew his wooden toys (these will need to be replaced regularly and he needs a lot of them) and especially loves to shred. He likes being scritched on the back of his neck and under his wings. He does not seem to mind other animals (including birds, dogs or cats) or children. We are working on getting him to eat a better diet of pellets with fresh vegetables and fruits and he does love all kinds of nuts (almonds, boca, walnut). Pywacket is very young and can live to be up to 80 years old, so please consider this before deciding to apply to adopt. He will do well in a home where his owner is present the majority of the day and where he will get a lot of out of cage time and plenty of attention and exercise.
