My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocky: 7 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and natural ears. 11", 15 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up..
Meet Rocky, the Rocketman. He and his friend since puppyhood, Sassy, had quite the rough start in life. Since arriving, Rocky has demonstrated signs of severe abuse and neglect. While he may have been well fed, he received little else from his former owners. He is scared of any loud noise and begins trembling uncontrollably. He jumps if you clap, sneeze, speak in a loud tone, and especially if a thunderstorm rolls in. When he first arrived, he had no idea how to give or receive love. He is learning slowly, and once he trusts you, he is your faithful buddy through and through. When I first introduced toys, he was scared to death of them, but now he enjoys playing with them, though he does tend to eat some of them. He prefers it if you go outside with him, I think he was left in a yard unattended for hours on end because of his reaction to being outside. If you go out and simply sit in a chair, he will run, jump, and play until you tell him it's time to go inside. Rocky is housetrained and crate trained. We let him snuggle in bed with us and have not had any accidents in the house, he can be trusted to have the run of the house, but is fine in a crate if you should desire. We would like to adopt both Rocky and his lifelong companion Sassy together, but if you only have room in your home for one, they should be okay as long as you have tons of love to give. If you have room in your heart and home for the Rocketman, fill out our adoption application. Rocky will be your best friend, just be patient and loving with him. Once you get through his walls, you will find the sweetest little dog you could ever imagine.
Note: Rocky is located in Barton. OH - and we will not fly this boy.
