My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BIO PROVIDED BY HER CURREENT OWNER / CAREGIVER: Tasha is a 1.5 year old, 55lb, shepherd mix. She is a gorgeous, athletic, extremely smart black and brown brindle with spotted belly and feet. She was found roaming the streets in Sunnyside, WA and spent almost a month in an animal shelter. While in the shelter, she was loaned out to the veterinary technician program at the local community college and by all accounts accepted all the poking and prodding extremely well, and the staff fell in love with her. She’s now been spayed and is all up to date on her shots with a clean bill of health. Unfortunately, as she's come out of her shell she's exhibited a strong prey drive that is incompatible with her foster family’s cat and she is also quite reactive toward other dogs. She has been in obedience class for the past 6 weeks and has truly excelled - she is very eager to please - but will need continued training and an attentive and patient owner to deal with her socialization issues. Fully housetrained and extremely well-behaved and calm indoors, she is an absolute doll within the house including all of her interactions with our 3 year old daughter, but she is wary around strangers until properly introduced. Overall she is a very sweet, smart, loving girl who will be a great companion when she finds an owner willing and able to provide her proper love and attention over the long-term.
