My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey is a beautiful 3 year old merle male who is as sweet as he is big. He lost his home when his owners had to move into an apartment. Smokey loves attention and thinks he is a big lap dog. He is a bit overweight, but he is starting to benefit from the walks and exercise he is now getting. He loves dogs of all shapes and sizes and gets along with cats too. Smokey loves children, and people in general. He is not food aggressive, but does take food from the hand a little rough. He is crate trained, and has also been left loose in the house for short periods of time unattended. He walks well on a leash, but can get a little excited sometimes and pull. He has been diagnosed with very mild hip dysplasia in his right hip, but the vet feels that this can be managed with weight loss (about 20 pounds) and a glucosamine supplement. He has no trouble at all romping in the yard, or going up and down stairs. Overall Smokey is a terrific fellow and aims to please, and he is very easy to fall in love with. He will make a wonderful pet in just about any home.
