My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mikey is a beautiful red piebald mini boy and approximately 2 years old. He is very affectionate and loves to be in your lap. He is house trained & kennel trained. He loves to explore new surroundings, go for walks, and play with toys. Mikey came from a high kill shelter in West Texas, when his time was up, resuce stepped in to save him. This sweet boy wieghs 8 lbs, is current on vaccinations and is neutered.
Mikey tested light positive for Heartworms. His vet has recommended a slow kill method of treatment that will require his new owner to give him weekly medicine until he tests negative for heart worms. This is a very simple pill given daily and is much safer for Mikey with little or no side effects. Mikey shows no signs of illness, and is a perfectly happy boy that likes to play with other dogs, and carry around toys that are ALOT bigger than he is!
