Walter's Story...
Walter and his siblings Norman, Sophie and Olive are the sweetest pups you'll ever meet! They are 8 weeks old and love to be held and cuddled (although they love to play too). These cuties will not be too large--they will probably be around 40-50 lbs. They were taken to the shelter at 3 weeks of age with their mom (also up for adoption) and now need a home of their own. These pups are exceptional--of course they are adorable but they are also very social and love people!

If you are interested in more information or meeting one of these cuties, please email Malissa at masilvey@aol.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Walter, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
