Tia's Story...
Tia is a 5 year old, 7 lb Chihuahua mix who is very cute and cuddly! She has just arrived in Calgary from the US on March 25th! Tia just wants a lap and to cuddle full time! She would be a great dog for someone looking for a lap dog, but a noisy house would probably scare her as she is very shy. She is good with other dogs, although her Chihuahua attitude can come out if they want to take her lap or chewie. She is an awesome, beautiful dog who is easy to fall in love with!
Please note that Little Mutts Rescue adoption fees are generally $400 for adults, $200 for dogs over 8 years old and $450 for puppies. Includes spay / neuter, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchip, and a vet certificate of health (please note that if puppies are born in Calgary, we do not have a vet certificate to provide). If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application at http://www.littlemuttsrescue.org/adopt/index.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tia, a Calgary Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Calgary, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Calgary.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Calgary already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Calgary breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Calgary paves the way for another one to be saved.
