Ruff Ruff! My name is Luna
|Breed:||Beagle||Color:||Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)||Age:||Young|
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Female|
I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Luna is still very much a puppy. She's usually in the mood to play and has energy to spare. She adores human attention, basking in any affection that comes her way. She is not above chewing on inappropriate items, so she would appreciate a home that will keep her supplied with chew toys.
Luna is crated during the day while her foster mom works. She'll fuss a bit, but then settle down.
Adoptive Status: Spayed, UTD on shots, heartworm negative and micro-chipped.
Dream Home Minimum Requirements: Social butterfly that she is, Luna would love an active family or one with another playful, non-aggressive dog to help her burn up some energy.
Owner Aptitude Level: Patient beginner

Rescue Group Info...
Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland is dedicated to helping all beagles in need. Most of the dogs that come into the rescue are hunter rejects, either because they do not want to hunt, or because they are too old or simply ill. Our goal is to rehabilitate these wonderful companion dogs and place them in forever loving homes. We are a network of foster homes and rely solely on the dedication of volunteers. Our motto is: "Hug your hound, don't take him to the pound."
We do not have a centralized location, but you can visit our website to find out when and where we hold our adoption events (usually twice a month). We also take part in special fairs and events. You can come and meet with some of our dogs then.
If you see a dog on our website that you are interested in, we request that you first fill out our Application and submit it electronically.
We require submission of an online application. If all requirements are met, we do a home visit and check the vet reference (when it applies). Please refer to our website to see the kinds of questions we ask. We ask for a tax-deductible adoption donation of $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their shots (rabies, distemper and parvo, bordetella), are heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative, micro-chipped and de-wormed.
