My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Oscar. I was rescued from the OC Shelter on June 1st. When brought back to the Pet Rescue Center, the staff quickly noticed that I had something wrong with my hind legs. After taking x-rays, they found that I had a fracture that was possibly years old. Due to the severity of my injury, it was best to amputate the fractured leg. Now that I am no longer in pain, I am coming out of my shell. Getting around on 3 legs is much easier than I thought. I am very loving and fun to play with. I like playing with toys and I’m learning how to make friends with other dogs. I am looking for a family who will give me the attention I’ve never had. If you think I might be the dog for you please visit with me!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at info@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: info@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
