Goliath's Story...
Ok, so my name may be a bit of an exaggeration. I am a big boy, but I only weigh 75 lbs. My owner brought me to a kill shelter in Kentucky after the neighbors threatened to poison me.He knew that my chances of surviving the shelter were better than my chances of surviving the neighbors. I am a nice boy. I'm used to being outside. I am healthy, neutered and vaccinated. I am 2-3 years old. I am believed to be a great pyranees mix, possibly with some golden retriever I do well with most other dogs. My ideal home would be with someone who lives on a nice piece of property where I can enjoy the outdoors as I did in my previous home. I can push my way through a gate that is not secure so I will need a nice, sturdy fence. After I get a good grooming I will be even more handsome. If you think that you may have the perfect home for me, please request an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goliath, a Hamburg Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever for sale in Hamburg, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Hamburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
