Forrest's Story...
Hi, my name is Forrest. I was born at The Pet Rescue Center on October 25th, 2010. My mother Annabel was rescued from Devore shelter. I am growing up very quickly and would love to have a home before I am an old man. I am an adorable boy with a loving personality. I love to play and cuddle and I love to show you my toys. All of my toys are my babies and I take very good care of them. I love other dogs and don’t mind cats. I’m well trained on leash and know most of my basic commands. I am about 35lbs now and I'm not getting much bigger. If you think there is room for a little boy like me, please come visit with me!
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at info@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adoptapet.html. Completed applications can be faxed to 949-768-5759 or emailed to: info@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Forrest, a Mission Viejo Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog puppy from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
