Sam's Story...
Sam is a very sweet 4 year old that was found abandoned and emaciated while we were feeding at one of our feral colonies. He literally begged to be picked up and then jumped into our arms. He was all skin and bones and started purring in contentment the minute we gave him some attention. He loves to sit on your lap and be petted while looking at the birds outside the window. He has been in foster care for quite a few months now and has adjusted very well: he's gained weight, gets along great with the other kitties in the home, uses a scratching post, and now all he needs is his forever home. Sam's coloring is very unique. He is half spotted black tabby and half white. He has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, been neutered and is up-to-date on all his shots. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Stafford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Stafford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Stafford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stafford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stafford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stafford paves the way for another one to be saved.
