Neon is a blue and gold macaw who is about 13 years old, his hatch date was 5/28/98. He is a beautiful fully feathered bird who is in the process of learning his Macaw manners. He was never handled before so he is learning that hands are okay and will not hurt him. He is now taking treats by hand nicely. He is a really sweet bird who will let you stroke his beak through the bars of his cage. He is let out of his cage for several hours everyday, although he doesn't particularly enjoy it too much at this point. He isn't used to it and it makes him nervous, but he will get used to it soon and come to enjoy it. With time and patience Neon is going to be a wonderful bird you will be able to enjoy hands on. Neon is going to need a experienced large bird owner who has the time and patience to continue with his training. He is waiting for that special person to adopt him and give this wonderful guy a new home where he will feel loved!
