My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A very special THANK YOU goes to The Linda Hamilton Fan Group for raising enough funds to sponsor Buddy, Greta and Fritz (formerly Carlo, now adopted). Thank you to all of the members that participated in their Facebook fundraiser. We are so happy you chose Buddy as your official mascot. You are the best!

***************************************************

Hi! My name is Greta and I am a 4 lbs, 4 month old, Toy Fox Terrier. Please do not call me a Chihuahua. No offense, but I am a truly American breed.

More about Greta:

Did you know that the Toy Fox Terrier is a big dog in a small package that possesses intelligence, courage and a take-charge attitude. Both a Toy and a Terrier, they are a true working dog, delighting in hunting tree squirrels and flushing out rodents.

To create this breed, the small Smooth Fox Terriers were crossed with various toy breeds including Miniature Pinschers, Italian Greyhounds and Manchester Terriers. The resulting dog the Toy Fox Terrier, retained the gameness from the terriers and a milder, more "livable" disposition from the other breeds used.

Right Breed for You?

Toy Fox Terriers are outgoing and friendly, yet fiercely loyal to their families. They are content and capable of any range of activities from hunting, to obedience, to just lounging around in the sun (or on the sofa). Children especially enjoy the unending energy and zeal for play, but as with all Toy breeds, they are not recommended for small children. Their small size makes them ideal for an apartment, although they love to explore the outdoors. They are easy to groom – a quick weekly brushing to prevent shedding, nail trim, and occasional bath is all that is necessary.

More about Greta:

Breed: Toy Fox Terrier, 4 lbs, 4 months old, tan & fawn in color, full grown

Temperament: Little diva, loves to be pampered, held, loves to cuddle. Loves car rides.

Pet Peeve: The groomer, the vet, being called a Chihuahua.

Favorite thing: Lounging in the oversized dog bed at her foster house and posing for pictures.
