Jetta's Story...
Jetta" is a 3-4yr spayed female Akita for adoption, about 68lb and sable pinto color. She is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. This wonderfully sweet girl loves people and greets everyone like an old friend. She is great with kids over 8 and gets along well wiht other friendly dogs. Jetta is very enthusiastic about life and going for walks with friends is a favorite pastime of hers. She is a pretty quiet and reserved dog and she is very housebroken and crate trained.
When playtime comes, she eagerly play bows and wants to have lots of fun with you! Jetta is one of the gentlest dogs I have seen come into rescue, and she deserves the best home possible. When she looks at you with her soulful amber eyes and asks why her family ever gave her up, you just want to give her a hug and take her right home. Adoption fee and contract, home visit and reference check apply. If you feel you can make her feel cherished and loved again as a memmber of your family, please email Cindy at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jetta, a Long Beach Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
