Winn Dixie's Story...
This is Winn Dixie, she is a female Bearded Collie/Schnauzer mix, about 30 lbs and 1 1/2 years old, She came to us from a high kill shelter. When we walked through she just gave us THAT LOOK. My 9 year old daughter said we just have to take her to find her a home. She is housebroken and is very sweet. Loves to play with the other dogs. She's a very good natured dog and allot of personality.BEFORE emailing for further information, please click the following link:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winn Dixie, a Staunton Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Bearded Collie/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
