Billy's Story...
Meet Billy! This charming boy arrived at the shelter as a stray and is ready to find a forever home and family. And what a lucky family it will be! Billy is a unique mix of Staffordshire Terrier, Canaan Dog, and maybe a few other breeds thrown in for good measure. Whatever the breed, it becomes completely unimportant when you meet this handsome boy. True to his breed, Billy is a wiggly, playful bundle of fun that just loves to be with people. This boy is convinced that he’s a lap dog too! And who could deny a dog with that sweet face and gorgeous smile?

In addition to enjoying the company of people, he loves to be with other dogs. So, he would love to share his home with a canine sibling or two. Billy is also working hard on his leash manners and is sure to be a pro in no time. Now he just needs a family to give him a chance.

If you would like to give Billy his forever home, come visit him at the shelter or call his adoption consultant, Angie, at 216-410-3771 or angelajanics@hotmail.com for more information. Billy can’t wait to meet his new family!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Billy, a Berea Canaan Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Canaan Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Berea, or seeking a Canaan Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Canaan Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Canaan Dog/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
