My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roxanne, Roxie to her friends, is a 6 year old purebred Golden with a dark red, thick silky coat. Her pretty faced is framed by long wavy ears.

Roxie loves to go walking and is learning how to walk nicely on a gentle leader harness. She likes her toys -- either carrying babies around in her mouth or playing ball. She will play ball as many times as you will throw it!

Roxanne's favorite thing is her people. She follows foster mom around the house and loves to snuggle up close on the couch. Roxy is house broken and has been left alone in her foster home for a few hours without any accidents or destruction. She also rides nicely in the car.

Roxie is a bigger girl at 88 lbs and could definitely stand to lose a few pounds. . . couldn't we all! The weight will melt off with good quality food, fed on a schedule, and exercise. She loves to walk so Roxie is the exercise partner you have always wanted. "Come on, let's go!"

Roxanne lived with cats and children before she came to GRFR. She greeted foster mom's neighbors' kids with enthusiasm and treated them each to a sloppy kiss. She is ok with her foster dog brothers, formerly lived with another Golden (GRFR Duchess) and used to go to the dog park but would probably enjoy being a solo dog and getting 100% her peoples' love. . . . Yours!

Roxie loves to be brushed. She helps foster mom by laying down and then rolling over when one side is done. To learn more about "brushing her other side" and making Roxie your very own furry family member, apply today and our volunteers will be in touch.
