Precious's Story...
Please contact Christiane at smilingpyrs@yahoo.de if you are interested in this dog. Precious came to rescue with her eight 3-week-old pups. She was severely malnourished and had lost most of her beautiful coat due to malnutrition. She looked so emaciated that it was doubtful that she would live. But this little girl is determined! She has such a will to live, and is so eager to care for her babies, that she overcame all the odds and is now thriving on good food and lots of exercise. Precious is only 1.5 years old. She is a little on the small side for a Pyrenees, but makes up for that with an extra large personality. Precious is the wonderfully loving and affectionate with humans. She love to snuggle and is generous with her kisses. She is still puppy playful and loves to romp. Precious will make the best furry family member! She is an alpha female and quite protective of her charges.

If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other dog please do the following:

2. We will check your vet reference.

3. We will set up for a home visit. The 5 ft or higher fencing must be in place and be very secure for the adoption to proceed.

4. If everything has passed, we will then have you work with the foster mom of the dog(s) you are interested in adopting.

5. The adoption contract must be received along with the adoption donation for the dog before a transport will be arranged.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Precious, a Hamilton Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
