Dogs with juvenile cataracts become blind rather suddenly. Xander is insecure with his new blindness and therefore would do best in a home with less activity. He is an extremely lovable dog but prefers to be the only dog in a home receiving all of the attention. Unfortunately he is much too interested in cats when he finds them to live in a home with a cat. Because of Xander's fears of sudden movements it is best he not live in a home with small children.
