Grace's Story...
Grace (female)

Hi, my name is Grace. My sister, Faith, and I were adopted from the local pound as puppies. Now that we are almost a year old, our owner has no time for us. He works a lot and his girlfriend is having a baby. Big surprise that we are now getting the boot, right? My sister and I are classic examples of why Petsavers and other rescues stay so full. Our owner has not kept us up-to-date on shots or heartworm prevention, nor has he gotten either of us spayed. It really is sad. If we are not able to find homes, we will be returned to the pound and put to sleep. Our future is bleak. We are sweet girls....very loving and submissive. A little love and time would go a long way with us as we have been kept outside since we were adopted......put into a yard and forgotten. Our time is limited and we understand if no one wants us....but we sure would like to have a loving home. If you would like to give one or both of us homes, please call 318-517-1819. Make sure to get us spayed so that we don't contribute to the epidemic of animal overpopulation. Robinson's Rescue is a low-cost spay and neuter clinic and you can reach them at 318-861-0101. There is a screening process to adopt me and my adoption fee is a suggested donation to Pet Savers of $30 for their help in rehoming me and to help assure I go to a good home. Once you adopt me, PLEASE get me spayed/neutered to help control the HUGE overpopulation and euthanasia rate in this area. Robinson’s Rescue low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic (Shreveport) offers special low-cost pricing for spaying and neutering. Call 318-861-0101 for your spay/neuter appointment ONLY, not about me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace, a Haughton Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
