Bentley's Story...
Bentley is a happy, massive and mellow 165 pound 20 month old male rough coat Saint Berner (Saint Bernard/Bernese Mountain Dog cross). He enjoys sticking his head out the window while riding in the car and going to the dog park, dog beach where he plays well with other dogs. He also enjoys his walks where he and his sister draw quite a bit of attention, and he loves meeting new people of all sizes. He has never been without a loving family to call his own. He has been well taken care of, goes to the groomer every 4 to 6 weeks, is current on all medical requirements and is extremely healthy. He lives with his biological younger sister (different litters) Zoe who he has lived with since he was 9 months old and is very bonded with. Their family is heartbroken to give them up due to selling their home and relocating. Ideally, they would like Bentley and Zoe to stay together, but will allow us to adopt them separately if necessary. If you are interested in adopting Bentley and/or his sister Zoe, please fill out an Adoption Application found on our web site at www.sunnysaints.org, submit it and we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet and to do your home check.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard/Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with St. Bernard/Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
