My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact info@blinddogrescue.com for more information about this pet.

Mabel's Information:

Mabel is a sweet girl who ended up in a shelter as a stray. She is probably around 8 years old. She has some vision, but we will get more information when she sees the ophthalmologist. She is a sweet sweet girl who LOVES attention. She will lay by your side all day if you want her too. She just wants to be petted. She is a low energy girl but she loves going for walks. She walks very nicely on leash, and perks up as soon as you clip the leash on her. She's a little thing, only 26 or so pounds. She will make someone a wonderful companion. Will that person be you?

Sex: Female

Breed: Beagle

Age: 8yrs old

Level of blindness: Can see some.

Cause of eye issues: Mabel has cataracts. She can see out of her left eye, and that is enough for her to get around really well

Health issues: Mabel is healthy. She has a small lump on her abdomen that looks like it is benign (not cancerous). Otherwise she is fine!

Weight: 24.5lbs

Good with dogs: YES. She is nervous with other dogs. We're working with her and she's doing well.

Good with cats: YES. She would probably be good with cats, though she's never met a cat.

Good with kids: Unknown

Currently being fostered in: Pennsylvania, but BDRA will arrange transport to an approved adopter.
