Ginger's Story...
Ginger is one of the sweetest dogs you'll come across-- she has already become a volunteer favorite because she is so cuddly and extremely generous with her affection. She was found, along with her pups in a barn at Golden Gate Fields. Ginger is quiet in her kennel, and very gentle with all who approach her. She will climb right into your lap in search of the tenderness she so dearly needs right now. Ginger is easy to walk with, and of course, because of the insecurity that still remains upon having experienced her recent trauma, constantly checks in with her walker, to make sure all is well. In a forever home, with stability and love in ample supply, we are sure Ginger will become much more confident, while still retaining that poignant sweetness which makes her so calming and heartwarming to be around.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Berkeley Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
