Charger's Story...
Whelp Date: 12/9/02

Temperament: Charger is a very handsome and sweet boy who loves to be hugged, kissed and fussed over! He has a good appetite and is sleeping well, and recently has discovered toys! His favorite so far is a froggy squeaky stuffed toy. He is house-trained and a little bit shy and although he was nervous and whiny for the first 2-3 days in his new foster home, now that he is settled in, he is much less anxious and is enjoying life as a pet. He also gets along well with 15 pound, 15 year old Migui, his mixed breed foster brother. He likes to run, play, and chase squirrels in the backyard. He follows his person around the house and loves to be petted – he’ll place his paw on his person’s knee as a reminder to continue petting him!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charger, a Tampa Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
