My name is Miya!

Labrador Retriever Mix Dog for adoption in Orlando, Florida - Miya

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Miya's Info...

I am already spayed and up to date with shots.

Miya's Story...
I am about 5 years old. I am spayed, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and on heartworm and flea preventative. My adoption is $150.

I was part of a seizure of 261 dogs from a rescue home in Polk County. While the seizure was not entirely justified and it was ruled that we were not supposed to be taken by animal control, we still had to sit there waiting for 4 months to be released. Since there are aspects of the case still pending, custody was awarded to A New Beginning so that we could get out of that shelter and not have to sit there any longer.

Please email for an application. A New Beginning Pet Care & Rescue, Inc. only accepts cash. We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards and no longer accept checks. The pets are available to be seen at our adoption events on weekends at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs on Saturday from 11-5 and Sunday from 12-5.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miya, a Orlando Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Orlando, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Orlando.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orlando already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orlando breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orlando paves the way for another one to be saved.
