Boogie's Story...
Boogie is a very friendly and extremely energetic, one-year-old, male, 45-pound, fawn and white pit bull terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Poor Boogie was found as a stray with a previously broken leg. The leg healed all by itself in a crooked fashion, but it certainly doesn’t slow Boogie down (at all)! He is good with other dogs and still loves to run and play. Even with his bum leg, he still has agility potential. Boogie is healthy, neutered, heartworm-tested, micro-chipped, and up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines. To meet and possibly Boogie, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. His adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued pets. He is currently kenneled in Steger, Illinois, and would love to get out of a kennel and into a loving home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boogie, a Chicago American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
