All about me...
MY FRIEND CHASE HELPED SAVE MY LIFE. HE WOULD NOT LET THE AC OFFICER GO UNTIL HE TOOK HER TO ME. I WAS LAYING AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GOING INTO SHOCK. I SERVED MY STRAY TIME NOW I WILL BE GOING TO THE VETS ON 1/15/07 TO START MY ROAD TO RECOVERY. WE ARE NOT SURE IF I WAS HIT BY A CAR OR IF SOMEONE DID THIS TO ME. UPDATES
1/14/2007 --Went to the vets office and I was almost 97 pounds. The vet was not able to save the area and re-stitch the skin back. The tissue in the area already started to granulate. The skin that rolled back was all dead, so the vet had to cut it off and try to stitch it down. My white blood count is high, so we are working getting rid of the infection and going to try real hard not to have the area become more infected. I am in a wet/dry wrap now and have to go back to see Dr. Rivas in a couple of days for a bandage change, he is really hoping the stitches will stay put so I will not end up loosing more skin. I have been a real big trooper during all this and all I do is give kisses and lean on you. ***** 1/17/07 ** Today I was 99.8 pounds so I am starting to gain some weight. Dr. Rivas was very happy to see how well the area looks and most of the stitches are holding down good. He said the skin color is great and is granulating very well. I still have the drain tube in for a while to help with the swelling and that area has to be flushed out 2 - 4 times a day. I was so happy I got some cookies at the doctors too. On top of everything I have kennel cough. So now I am bandage free for a couple of days to see how everything heals. I will be back to the vets in a couple more days so they can see me again. I think they all love me there, thats why they want me to keep coming back. So for now I am going to take a nap. My foster parents are trying to make these things for my neck so I don't have to wear an ecollar.
