Nutmeg's Story...
Nutmeg and her sister Paprika and brothers Ambrosia and Butterscotch, were all found on a golf course with their mom when they were still very tiny, back in August. Nutmeg is approx. one and a half years old (fall 2010) and she has been waiting patiently in her foster home all this time, for that lucky adopter to find her. Nutmeg is a very pretty tortie girl and she loves to play. She'd also love to go to a forever home before the holidays, so please come and meet her! You can meet-and-greet to get to know the cat of your choice or meet several cats to choose from at scheduled adoption events Saturday or Sunday afternoon at Tractor Supply Company Concord NC Please email for event schedule at, or Visit us on FB at Friends for Life Cat Adoptions. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nutmeg, a Harrisburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Harrisburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Harrisburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
