Benny's Story...
Benny is a great little guy and has been a perfect house guest. He doesn't have any health issues, however, he is blind. We do use daily eye drops to keep his eyes moist. Other than that he is in good health. Our vet told us it appears he has been blind most of his life, probably due to an infection that was not treated properly. Being blind doesn't seem to slow Benny down. It only took him a couple of days to learn his way around the house and yard. He sleeps upstairs in the bedroom and goes up and down the stairs like he has been doing it all his life.
Benny is about 6-7 years old, housebroken and gets along well with his foster siblings (a corgi, 2 golden retrievers and 2 cats). He is good natured and loves to go on walks. He also loves squeaky toys and is fun to watch. He will push the squeaky around and growl at it. He is also very good at taking naps.
Benny is sweetie and would make some lucky family a great companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benny, a Sugarland Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sugarland, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sugarland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugarland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugarland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugarland paves the way for another one to be saved.
