Samara's Story...
Samara – Labrador Retreiver/Coonhound

Samara has been raised in an apartment and her owner feels that she is unhappy being left alone in her crate as he is away for long work hours each day and often out again at night. He would love to see her with a family that would love her and who have more time to enjoy this friendly big hearted girl.

Samara is 2 and a half years old, and is a real sweetheart. She is a friendly and intelligent dog that would do well with children and the opportunity to be a loved member of a fun loving family. Affectionate, playful and trusting this dog deserves to have a back yard to romp in and people that would enjoy her company. A family that loves to go camping, hiking or just hanging out on a lazy weekend watching tv would be great for Samara.

This breed is also very playful and puppyish regardless of their age and can be laughable clowns. They are very trustworthy pets and do well with children as they are very tolerant and loving. Their intelligence makes them easy to train although they can have a bit of a stubborn streak and act like children at times themselves.

Samara is very excited to be around people and just loves attention. She is also a very clean, quiet and trustworthy when left on her own as she has been raised in an apartment and has been left for long hours to amuse herself. She knows her basic commands and is generally very obedient and well mannered.

This dog would be a great companion for anyone and could easily go with you anywhere because of her sweet and accepting nature. She deserves to have a lot more than she is currently getting out of life and would be a great all around family pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Samara, a Hamilton Labrador Retriever/Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Coonhound dog from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Coonhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
