Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PeeWee is the cutest little rat terrier puppy who was rescued from a hoarding situation. He has lots of love to offer you, and just wants your love in return. At about 11 weeks old, he is tiny, weighing about 2 1/2 pounds, so we are relatively certain he is of the mini or toy variety which usually does not grow bigger than 10 pounds, (but we can't make any guarantees). Because Pip is still a baby, he will need to go to a home with a stay-at-home person who will attend to his training, exercise, housebreaking and socialization. He is tiny and fragile, so we recommend no children under 10 years old.
Rat terriers are a lively breed, intelligent and curious breed that needs lots of mental stimulation, but not necessarily a lot of chaos. They tend to be sensitive dogs that can get spooked by loud noises or unexpected activity or movements, and they can take some time to warm up to strangers. While they have a definite feisty terrier personality, they also have an "off switch" and love lounging on the sofa in a lap as much as tearing about the yard. This, of course, is a general overview of the breed, and PeeWee may not fit the mold - it's too early to tell.
