Sable's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sable's Story...
I could no longer live with my family due to allergies that one of the children developed. I am a very well trained 10 year old dog who loves to snuggle. I have had to get most of my teeth pulled but my foster mom has gotten me off of wet dog food and I am able to eat small dry bites with just a tad bit of water to soften it. The vet says that I am very healthy but have a low grade heart murmur that is I/IV. This doesn't affect me in anyway and shouldn't down the road. I am crate trained and housebroken and weigh only 8 lbs. I really love and need to be with people at all times. My experience in the past doesn't allow me to trust kids so, my foster mom says that I really need to be in a home without any children. I hope that I can find my happily ever after very soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sable, a Houston Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Houston, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
