"We are family, I got all my sisters with me"...ok, that's not 100% true. Two of Penny Lane's sisters went to a great home together and now Penny and her remaining sister, Carly, are looking for a home of their own! Two peas in a pod these girls are; they are best of buddies, great playmates, and always in the pursuit of their favorite things ranging from playtime to snuggle time to chow time!
Penny and Carla are stunning girls - Penny with her brown tabby stripes and Carly with her gray tabby stripes. Despite their enormous appetites, Penny and Carla maintain their slim figures with plenty of exercise. They are not picky when it comes to toys - throw anything across the room and the girls will trip over themselves zooming off after it. They love all type of toys - swizzle wands, balls, mice, feather wands - the list goes on and on! Nothing beats the entertainment they get from each other though - they'll kick balls to each other, drag wands away from each other, wrestle and smack each other around, and when they tire themselves out they will end with a couple of kitty kisses and sisterly grooming. One thing you can count on - they will always make you smile and laugh aloud at their antics!
It's hysterical when you walk into their room to feed them; they let out LONG meows that you couldn't ignore even if you tried. Someone not knowing any better would think they hadn't been fed in weeks. Once they have their food and their tummies are full, both girls are eager for snuggle time. Sit down on the couch or anywhere for that matter, and both girls will come over and swarm your lap, purring and headbutting you in the hope of getting some pets! It's funny...sometimes they knock each other out of the way attempting to get the most pets!
While Penny is very active and loves to play, she has stood out as the quietest of her siblings. Several of the volunteers have gone as far as accusing her of "melting their hearts on a daily basis." She purrs and purrs and loves to curl up on your chest or in your lap to soak up all the petting and attention about to be bestowed upon her. She loves being cuddled, there is no doubt about it. Chin scratches are among her favorites; she also likes when you lightly scratch between her ears on the top of her head...she'll blissfully close her eyes and you can see her just enjoying the moment. It's very endearing!
Penny is somewhat of a celebrity. We took her to a RESCUE event at the Noble Beast and she did great on her outing. She wore a leash and harness all day making all sorts of friends as she explored the store! I guess we shouldn't be surprised after the successful outing she and her 3 sisters had to the KOOL radio station awhile ago!
Penny and Carly will be great additions to any family, bringing lots of entertainment, joy, laughter, and love. They are the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. They have it all...well almost...they're still missing a forever home with a family to call their own.
