My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

RECENTLY ADOPTED!

Shiloh is a very loveable purebred female Beagle who is 6 years young. She is friendly and affectionate, gets along with other dogs and has previously lived in a home with cats. Shiloh is current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative, already spayed, and microchipped. She is crate-trained and totally housetrained too!

Shiloh is well-behaved in the house; isn't destructive and doesn't chew things--except her toys. She's an active girl that loves to run and play out in the fenced yard and especially loves to track scents. Sometimes she is so eager to get outside that she will try to bolt out the door, so care must be taken to prevent her from accidentally escaping. Her foster mom is working on teaching her to "sit" and "wait" before being allowed to go out, so this will need to be reinforced in a new home as well. A securely fenced yard (not "invisible" or underground) will be required to keep Shiloh safely contained.

In her previous home, Shiloh was used to having someone home most of the day. Truth be told, she was also a little bit spoiled, but was a wonderful and loyal companion! She would probably prefer a similar arrangement in a new home as well, although the company of another canine could provide companionship she likes. This sweet little beauty is looking for a special friend to call her own(er)...could it be you?

IMPORTANT: Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue does not operate a shelter where the public can meet our dogs. All of our Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application and be pre-approved to adopt. Once an applicant is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home. Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will be approved. Please visit our web page: www.safehounds.com and click on "Adopting A Beagle" to learn more about the adoption process and to print our adoption application.

Unable to adopt? Please consider making a much-needed donation. By helping us we can continue to make a difference in the lives of these deserving dogs. We often take in dogs with special needs that many other rescues simply turn away. We have lots of hungry hounds to feed and are always in need of dog food and other items from our wish list as well as financial support to help us meet the needs of the dogs in our care. You can easily send a tax-deductible gift to help our dogs withPayPal - it's fast, free, and secure!

This pet requires an application and $250 adoption fee.
