Presley's Story...
This is Presley, she is about 2 years old and was pulled from a high kill shelter along with her tiny babies. Unfortunately the kittens were too sick and they all ended up dying after much effort was put into saving them. Presley wasn't in much better shape, very thin and dehydrated. She is much, much healthier now and is ready to find her own home. She LOVES the multiple dogs in her foster home, even when they aren't so nice to her. She is the official greeter to all new fosters, but she needs her own place to call home.

If you are interested please contact her foster mom Melissa at (502) 905-5512 or meandwoody@insightbb.com. Her adoption fee is $40.

All our cats are in foster homes. If you are interested in one of our “Doberman-approved” cats, please contact the foster home using the link provided in the biography above. Or, you can contact SWODR through our website

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Presley, a New Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
