Simba's Story...
Simba is a 7 year old Pekingese currently being fostered in northwest New Jersey. He's a sweet little guy that likes to give kisses, be a couch potato, and go for car rides. Simba gets along fine with other dogs and doesn't pay any mind to cats. He does prefer to eat alone as it makes him unhappy to have other dogs putting their noses in his food bowl!

Simba has food allergies and is on a hypoallergenic diet of Rabbit and Potato on which he does very well. We are not sure as of now what exactly he is allergic to - but a good guess would be artificial preservatives and food colorings. Maybe poultry and/or beef.

Simba would love to be your pampered furkid. His asking adoption fee is $175.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Mays Landing Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Mays Landing, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Mays Landing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mays Landing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mays Landing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mays Landing paves the way for another one to be saved.
