Olive's Story...
"Hello everybody...my name is Olive, and I am a very sweet medium-size Shepherd-mix girl, with an incredibly sweet and adorable face and very pretty markings too. I love going for walks, and love hugs and spending time in the exercise yard. I am a very gentle girl, who would love to have a new forever home, where I can relax in a yard or spend time just sitting by your side. I have short hair, so I am one of those "easy care ladies". When you come to visit the shelter, it would really be nice if you would ask to see me, so that we can get acquainted in one of our great exercise yards here at the shelter. My dog walker says that I am a very gentle soul and such a beautiful dog. Gosh, she knows me almost as well as I know myself! Please come on by and get to know me. You will not be disappointed. Love, Olive". Kennel #50.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a El Cajon German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
