Penny's Story...
Image hosting by Photobucket

(ID #729) Hi, my name is Penny.

My former owner left me alone in an apartment and never came back. Some kind people found me and brought me to the shelter so I could find a loving home. I am a little shy at first but once I get to know you, I am fine.

I am a young lady at heart, a little over one year old and I weigh around 5 pounds. Do you have room in your heart and home for me? I am way past that messy chewy puppy stage.

I have already been spayed, given my basic shots, microchipped, and am heartworm negative.

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. They are providing me with a getting started goodie bag. This bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, toy, a FREE behavior consultation, a FREE training DVD, and other doggie related items.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Cincinnati Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
